Calculation Tool Senergy Ai

Introduction

This tool assists you in dimensioning the motorized roller within a zone of a roller conveyor. We determine the physical requirements and check whether the Senergy Ai motorized roller is suitable in your project, and we give a recommendation of the speed code to be used.

Please note that this calculation is only a model, that cannot take into account all parameters of a real application. Therefore, the result is only a recommendation.

We cannot take the responsibility for issues that result from this calculation.

Characteristics of the zone

Information

The data entered here relate to one zone of a roller conveyor.

For more information, click the 🛈 symbol.

  • Please check this box if the application is for a pallet conveyor.

The Senergy Ai motorized roller is not suitable for applications where the pallet has to be aligned using a flange or side guides.

  • When entering the roller diameter, consider any PU or PVC sleeve (+ 4mm).

For tapered rollers, consider the middle diameter of the whole taper.

  • Desired conveying speed

  • The mass of the conveyed material within an individual zone.

  • The angle of inclination of the conveyor.

  • Total number of rollers within a zone including the motor roller.

  • Number of ribs on a PolyV belt.

  • Required tangential force as percentage value of the normal force of the conveyed material.

  • In some applications, an increased acceleration torque is required. By setting this tick, this is taken into account when selecting the speed code and the BOOST mode is forced.

  • Takes into account the maximum load capacity of a Senergy Ai motorized roller.

The calculation is made by determining the load capacity of a single roller based on the between frame length of the roller and the number of rollers, that carry a single box.

  • Length of the roller between the frames (BF dimension).

  • Distance between the rollers measured from the center of the axis.

  • Length of a single box.

Result

Information

The results displayed here relate to one zone of a roller conveyor.

  • Total required torque.

  • The expected continuous electrical power consumption of an individual motor during an unaccelerated movement, including all losses.

  • The expected continuous current consumption with unaccelerated movement of the conveyed material at the desired conveying speed.

  • The recommended Speedcode of the Senergy Ai motor roller to achieve the desired speed and to achieve an optimal efficiency of the motor.

  • The recommended operation mode of the Senergy Ai motorized roller. The operation mode can be selected by the controller independently of the hardware. EQube Ai only supports ECO mode!

  • The maximum achievable acceleration of the conveyed material in the recommended operation mode.

  • The maximum achievable acceleration of the conveyed material in the corresponding operating mode. ECO+ and BOOST8 enable an increased acceleration torque. For more information, please refer to the tables below.

  • The mass that is carried by a single roller.

  • The maximum mass that can be carried by a Senergy Ai motorized roller.

Additional information
  • The rotational speed of the roller at the desired speed.

  • The torque that has to be applied for the friction of the belt.

  • The torque that has to be applied to overcome the rolling resistance of the conveyed material.

  • Required mechanical performance for a constant movement of the conveyed material on an individual zone of the roller conveyor.

  • The speed range within which the roller can be operated with the selected Speedcode and operation mode. The speed can be adjusted by the controller.

  • The maximum available continuous torque of the roller with the selected Speedcode and operation mode.

  • The maximum available acceleration torque of the roller with the selected Speedcode and operation mode.

  • The maximum available acceleration torque of the roller with the selected Speedcode in the corresponding operating mode. ECO+ and BOOST8 enable an increased acceleration torque. For more information, please refer to the tables below.
